Usage & Billing

This chapter explains how to view your request usage and billing information in the tokenfor.me console, and how to top up your balance.

Usage

In the Usage section, you can see how your account has been using tokenfor.me over time:

• By time: daily / weekly / monthly trends;
• By model: how usage is distributed across OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.;
• By key: how much each API key is used and how much it contributes to cost.

This helps you:

• Detect abnormal spikes in traffic;
• Understand which projects or team members generate the most usage;
• Optimize your model and routing choices.

Billing

In the Billing section, you can:

• View the current billing period and its total charges;
• Inspect detailed billing records and historical invoices;
• See payments, balances, and credit limits (if applicable).

You can export billing data or share it with your finance team as needed.

Cost control tips

• Use different keys for different environments: e.g. development / staging / production, so you can easily see where costs come from.
• Combine usage and billing data: regularly review both to spot high-cost models and heavy-usage keys.
• Establish internal usage guidelines: e.g. limit the use of particularly expensive models.
